Principal's Message

North Port High School is a Florida Arts Model High School, one of only two in the state, and a Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) Magnet for Sarasota County Schools. We place into action the FAAE vision that every child is given a well-rounded education including a comprehensive, sequential, high quality program of arts instruction. As we prepare students to lead responsible lives, our arts programs support their intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development.

The extensive performing and fine arts course offerings at our school are academically matched with our Cambridge AICE program, and every effort is made for students to achieve equal access when they choose to participate in both.

We hope you consider all the offerings at NPHS and if your student is arts oriented, please make an appointment with Michelle Slay, the VPA Coordinator, to discuss interests and options.

Parents and families play a critical role in the success of our students as well as our school.  We would love for you to visit the campus, volunteer, or reach out to our teachers if you have any questions.
